Orira in Portugal

Martial arts academy management, made in Portugal.

Orira is built by a Portuguese company. It takes the payment methods your students already use, issues invoices in the certified program you already have and keeps the data in the European Union.

In short

The facts, no adjectives.

Company
Daniel Romão Leal, Sociedade Unipessoal, Lda. (NIPC 519502078), registered in Portugal. The trading name is Orira.
Student payments
MB WAY, IBAN bank transfer and cash: the student uploads the proof of payment and the academy confirms it. Card through Stripe, confirmed automatically.
Invoicing
Connects to the academy's InvoiceXpress or Moloni account and issues the invoice-receipt there for each confirmed payment. Orira is not itself certified invoicing software.
Data and GDPR
Server and database in the EU (Amsterdam, Netherlands). The academy is the data controller and Orira the processor, with a DPA and a public list of sub-processors. Export your data as CSV at any time.
Disciplines
Jiu-jitsu (gi and no-gi), boxing, muay thai, MMA, capoeira, judo, karate, taekwondo and wrestling, each with its own grading system. You can add others.
Languages
European Portuguese, Brazilian Portuguese, English, Spanish and Ukrainian.
Platforms
Browser, iOS app (App Store) and Android app (Google Play).
Price
Essencial €19, Pro €49 and Max €99 per month, with −20% on the annual plan. 15 days free, no card.

Payments

The methods you already use.

You don't have to change how you collect fees. The student pays by MB WAY, IBAN or cash, uploads the proof and you confirm it in two taps. For automatic confirmation, turn on card payments through Stripe.

  • Monthly fees generated from each student's plan
  • Families: parents enrol their children, with a single login
  • Reminders for overdue payments
  • No Orira fee on MB WAY, IBAN or cash. Card payments carry a per-transaction margin, published on the pricing page

Invoicing

The invoice comes out of your certified program.

In Portugal, invoices must be issued by software certified by the tax authority (AT). Orira does not replace it: it connects to the academy's InvoiceXpress or Moloni account and issues the invoice-receipt when a payment is confirmed.

  • One invoice-receipt per payment, no retyping
  • The invoice is emailed to the student
  • Credit note when you cancel an invoiced payment

Data

GDPR handled from the start.

Student data belongs to the academy. Orira processes it on the academy's behalf, inside the European Union, and publishes who its sub-processors are and where they are.

  • Server and database in Amsterdam (Netherlands)
  • Data processing agreement (DPA) and a public list of sub-processors
  • Export the academy's data as CSV
  • 30 days notice before any change of sub-processor

Martial arts

Built for the mat, not for any gym.

Belt grading, check-in and instructor commissions work the way a martial arts academy runs, with several disciplines in one account.

  • Grading per discipline: belts, stripes and each student's history
  • NFC tag check-in at the door (Pro and Max plans)
  • Instructor payouts calculated to the cent (Pro and Max plans)
  • Tatame TV: who's training, in real time (Pro and Max plans)

What Orira doesn't do

So there are no surprises.

  • It isn't certified invoicing software. To issue invoices you need an InvoiceXpress or Moloni account.
  • It doesn't yet generate Multibanco references or collect by SEPA direct debit. Today MB WAY and IBAN work by proof of payment, not by bank integration.
  • It isn't generic gym software: it was designed for martial arts and combat sports academies.

Frequently asked questions

What academies in Portugal ask.

Is Orira Portuguese?

Yes. It is developed and operated by Daniel Romão Leal, Sociedade Unipessoal, Lda. (NIPC 519502078), registered in Portugal.

Does it accept MB WAY?

Yes. The student pays by MB WAY to the academy's number and uploads the proof; the academy confirms the payment. The same goes for IBAN and cash. Orira charges no fee on these methods.

Does it issue certified invoices?

Orira connects to the academy's InvoiceXpress or Moloni and issues the invoice-receipt there for each confirmed payment. The certified program is the academy's: Orira is not itself certified invoicing software.

Where is student data stored?

In the European Union: the server and database are in Amsterdam (Netherlands). The academy is the data controller and Orira the processor, with a DPA.

Does it work for judo, karate or muay thai, or only jiu-jitsu?

All of them. Jiu-jitsu (gi and no-gi), boxing, muay thai, MMA, capoeira, judo, karate, taekwondo and wrestling come ready, each with its own grading system, and you can add other disciplines.
